Synapse Presents: The Stem Cell Hope

June 12 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Synapse Presents: The Stem Cell Hope

Since its emergence, stem cell technology has moved through hope, controversy, and promises of the next giant breakthrough in medicine. After thirty-odd years with stories about Dolly the sheep, fraudulent clones, iPSCs, and Nobel-prizes, the optimism hasn’t diminished. Stem cells are now moving into the clinical trials as powerful repair tools and also to treat diseases like Parkinson or Diabetes while scientists, universities, and companies are collaborating to turn the stem cell hope into reality.

At Synapse presents: The Stem Cell Hope, we have invited experts from academia and the industry to talk about stem cells as well as their personal stories and their thoughts on the future of stem cells. With this event, you will learn more about all kind of stem cells, their potential uses and from several different perspectives: basic research, translational research, start-ups or big companies.
