At Synapse, we believe in the immense impact that valuable connections can have on personal and professional growth. Our Mentorship Program is designed to support learning, development and meaningful progress by bringing together passionate individuals at different stages of their journeys. Whether you are seeking guidance or looking to give back as a mentor, this program offers a structured yet flexible environment to empower participants to learn, build meaningful relationships and reach their goals.
The Synapse Mentorship Program runs from October 2025 to April 2026 during which each mentee-mentor pair will meet 4-6 times and work on several topics. The topics are flexible and based on your specific needs surrounding personal and professional growth. In addition to the one-on-one sessions, Synapse will host a series of events including workshops and networking sessions for both mentees and mentors. We work together with the consultancy firm KMP+ who provide their expertise on mentorship programs to allow both mentees and mentors to expand their network and gain key tools to strengthen their profiles.
Take the first step, apply today!
For Mentees
Becoming a mentee will allow you to explore different topics with your mentor. You can focus on your personal development or perhaps on your career and professional growth. Whatever you decide to work on, it will be together with a mentor with a life science background like yours. They will challenge your perspectives, guide your decisions and let you tap into their experience and knowledge in an informal and safe environment.
Your mentor will be assigned to you depending on your interests, your personality, and your career goals. Synapse will take into consideration your motivation for the program and the application where you can express what kind of a mentor you wish for.
Becoming a Mentee
You are eligible to enter the program if:
- You are a 3rd-year BSc student or have at least one year left in your MSc’s program and you are not going on exchange during the mentorship program.
- You are enrolled in a life science program at a university in the Copenhagen area (Lund University included).
- You are available for the kick-off event. The event will be held in Copenhagen in October.

This information is important for us to make the best possible match for you!
For Mentors
Becoming a mentor will allow you to inspire the next generation of life science students, grow your professional network and gain valuable skills like coaching and leadership. In addition to the one-to-one meetings with your mentee and the main events with all other mentors and mentees, Synapse organises two events dedicated exclusively to mentors.
Your mentee will be assigned to you depending on your preferences, your personality, and your development goals.
